Di Marzio: Buongiorno to meet agent – important Milan-related question on the table

By Oliver Fisher -

Alessandro Buongiorno will meet with his agent tonight and they will discuss the possibility of making a move to AC Milan before the end of the month, a report claims.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke on Sky earlier today about Milan’s pursuit of Buongiorno and he explained why it will be a ‘very difficult operation’ for the management to pull off, for a couple of different reasons.

Nonetheless, he claimed that on the next few days the Rossoneri will make an initial offer and perhaps increase it in the last few days of the month.

The Rossoneri know that the Granata are big fans of Lorenzo Colombo, and he could lower the cash sum required.

Now, Di Marzio has given another update live on Sky (via MilanNews) in which he revealed that there will be a meeting between the Italy international and the Torino captain regarding his future.

“Milan are trying very insistently, they will make an offer to Torino this week. Buongiorno will be having dinner with his agent [Beppe Rise] tonight,” he said.

“The agent will ask him: ‘If Milan and Torino reach an agreement, will you go or do like the summer?’.  So let’s see.”

The journalist is referring to the 2023 summer mercato when Atalanta wanted to sign him but he said no, preferring to stay at Torino for a bit longer yet, the club he is a fan of having been born in Turin.

  1. If it comes, it means two things:
    1. In summer Tomori or Thiaw will leave.
    2. The new coach will be Conte and in his system we will play with 3 central defenders.

    1. I’d say it’s either Tomori or Kalulu who will leave. Probably Kalulu as he’d be 99% pure profit and hasn’t improved since the scudetto season at all. Actually quite the opposite really. He’s gone worse.

  2. Colombo has 3 goals and 1 assist in half a season in which he now seems to have lost the starting striker position. He’s supposed to be worth 10m?

Torino has Sanabria, Zapata and Pellegri.

Torino wants a minimum 15m in cash? That’s all?

Torino is going to sell its linchpin in the middle of a season in which it could challenge for Europe?

I’ll be amazed if this deal goes through.

  3. Skip . Complicated & wasted time. Need colombo agreement too. Brassler more cheaper option and more easy to get. Tomori ,Thiaw,Gabbia,Brassler,Simic enough for new season . Move Kalulu to RB compete with Calabria ( dont renew florenzi contract) . Dont renew kjaer contract for CB regeneration, sell or loan pelegrino
