Di Marzio: Chelsea playmaker Ziyech tops Milan’s wish list to replace Calhanoglu

By Isak Möller -

As Hakan Calhanoglu has officially signed for Inter, Milan will need to bring in a replacement ahead of next season. It seems they aren’t in a huge rush, though, mainly because it could help their strategy.

The Rossoneri will obviously have to bring in a player of high calibre and this usually means the negotiation won’t be easy. Therefore, waiting until the end of the summer could actually help them, as opportunities could open up.

During tonight’s program on Sky Italia, Gianluca Di Marzio spoke about Milan’s options when it comes to replacing Calhanoglu, as cited by MilanNews. He made it very clear that the club management isn’t in a rush to get this done.

“There is no rush, the transfer market isn’t over yet. Ziyech is among the first names on the wish list of attacking midfielder. With Chelsea, the negotiations are very broad, they could involve other players and not just Ziyech and Giroud,” he stated.

In addition to a Calhanoglu replacement, Milan are also expected to extend the loan of Brahim Diaz, most likely with an option to buy included as well. In other words, they should be covered in this position.

  1. Not a way that Milan can sign him, so many positions to cover, and so few money and for N. 10 if they wait for the end of the market to sign some one as good opportunity that player will have no time to adapt and the first half of the season is waisted. 35mil for De Paul was to much and Chelsea will give Milan no discounts.

  2. LOL what a joke. We do realize he costs 40M right? Pls stop associating us with real quality players we apparently cannot afford lol. Let’s stick w trash nobody wants that maybe we can get for free or on loan lol. Fkn disgrace
