Brahim Diaz ‘very happy’ at Milan as he discusses future: “I hope to know soon”

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz had a very good ending to this past season and impressed the Milan management a lot, resulting in further negotiations with Real Madrid. It seems the Spaniard could now stay at the club.

While he was good throughout the season, Diaz was especially important towards the end with two goals and one assist in the last four games. In what was a tough period for the Rossoneri, he added something new to their game and switched things up.

Therefore, it’s not exactly a surprise that Milan want to keep him for at least one more season. In fact, it seems the negotiations are on the basis of a loan with an option to buy, meaning it could be a permanent transfer in the end.

Speaking to Marca during a press conference for Spain’s national team, as cited by MilanNews, Diaz was asked about the future. He made it very clear that he’s happy at Milan and with what he has achieved.

“I’m very happy with everything I have experienced. Milan and Real Madrid are two great clubs, but at the moment I have no idea. I hope to know my future soon. I had a good time in Madrid and I’m very happy in Milan, where we reached the club goal and from an individual point of view, it was incredible. We’ll see what happens,” he stated.
