Di Marzio: De Ketelaere completes Atalanta medical with announcement imminent

Charles De Ketelaere underwent and successfully passed his medical tests with Atalanta this afternoon and signed his new contract with them.

Gianluca Di Marzio writes that an agreement was found between the clubs over all the final details and after today’s procedures, De Ketelaere is to all intents and purposes a new Atalanta player with just the official announcement missing.

The Belgian attacking midfielder will therefore say goodbye to Milan after just one season and will join La Dea on what will be an initial paid loan move that will include an option to buy that can be activated next summer.

If Atalanta were to exercise the option – which is set at above €20m – De Ketelaere’s permanent signing would be among the most expensive in the history of the club, together with those of two other signings of the current window: El Bilal Touré and Gianluca Scamacca.

Milan will save on the 22-year-old’s salary for the coming season, and only the difference between the next year of amortisation and the loan fee (set at €3m) remains as a cost.

        1. Exactly. His problem: far too shy. Mentally weak. He need to work on his Mentally. Also father Maldini couldn’t change his attitude/mentality it’s on CDK.
