AC Milan are likely to keep Charles De Ketelaere despite some of the rumours that he could be sold or loaned out in the summer, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
De Ketelaere was Milan’s marquee signing during the last summer transfer window after the Scudetto win, and a bit more was expected from him than the zero goals and one assist that he has amassed so far, it must be said.

Milan are concentrated on matters on the field with the fundamental objective of qualifying for the next edition of the Champions League but it is natural that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are already planning for the season ahead and the summer.
Di Marzio took stock of Milan’s strategies and movements live on Sky, starting with analying the situation regarding the future of De Ketelaere.
“I think Milan will wait for De Ketelaere. Even Tonali and Leao didn’t live up to expectations in their first year. Given the precedents, I think CDK too will be given another opportunity,” he said (via IlMilanista).
“It will also depend on the type of requests that the player will have. But I don’t think Milan will loan him, for example, to Brugge. An Italian solution should be found.”

No impact and whole squad must carry him in match. It is like play 10 vs 11 everytime he play. Loan him to monza or other serie A club are best option to see his talent growing or not in italy
Comparing him with the likes of Leao and Tonali in their 1st season is just such a lazy excuse.

Some will say they do not play the same position, I’d reply CDK has more opportunities to shine but he doesn’t.
I do not care if it’s just a loan (a transfer would be better) but CDK needs to move far from Milan asap.

For Tonali and Leao after their 1st seasons we were probably wondering how long it’s going to take them to reach expectations or will they ever be able to reach those expectations.
After CDK 1st season people are probably wondering if this guy should change professions. He looked like he has never played football before.

Tonali 1st season at Milan, age 20, 2025 minutes played, 0 g, 0 assists.
Leao 1st season at Milan, age 20, 1475 minutes played, 6 g, 3 assists.
CDK 1st season at Milan, age 21, 1461 minutes played 0 g, 1 assists.
Also, neither Tonali nor Leao were expected or hyped to be Milan starters in their 1st seasons because of lack of high level experience and immaturity. Tonali was essentially a serie B player when Milan signed him.
CDK came in with 16 games of UCL experience behind him, which was by far more than any Milan player not named Zlatan, Giroud and Florenzi, and was expected to be a starter and contribute something, anything from day 1 based on his prior experience.
I’m not saying he should or shouldn’t get another chance to prove himself but stop making baseless comparisons.
Neither or Tonali and Leao were a complete useless waste that added nothing by bringing them on. In fact, there were occasions where they rightly started and delivered.
Kids needs to go on loan.
Give him one more season, or ELSE….I dunno why they can’t train this lad into a beast. Zlatan, giroud, RL17, Diaz are there to help but still..smh maybe he needs mental tutor
I think the fault lies squarlely with Pioli, why has he not tried CDK as a false 9 or even a 9, I think we have missed a trick in not letting CDK be the cover for Giroud not Origi
Not really. It’s really not about where he plays, his technicality, and such, but more towards his approach in games. From the last match we can clearly see that he still hasn’t got a hold of Serie A kind of plays. Where he always made this one touch too many. Ended up in being surrounded by opponents before he could do anything more.
