Di Marzio: Milan cool interest in Olmo after learning of €40m+ demands

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have held contacts with Dinamo Zagreb over a possible deal for Dani Olmo however they are not looking to sign him this month, a report claims.

Croatian source Sportske Novosti have reported the most concrete interest from the Rossoneri in the Spain international, claiming that Milan have made a bid of €20m plus bonuses with a five-year contract offer on the table.

On Friday, Dinamo boss Nenad Bjelica confirmed that Olmo will not be risked during their Saturday friendly as ‘a transfer is being discussed’.

Not long after, Croatian source 24sata added that almost everything is agreed between Milan and Dinamo for the deal to take place, but the €7million Olmo’s entourage is demanding in commission has held everything up.

According to an update from Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri have held contacts regarding the move but in view of June rather than January, and are willing to offer €20m.

The current request of Dinamo is €25million plus €5m, plus his agent is asking for €7.5m commission, a €3m signing bonus and €2.5m-a-year with 10% of future resale. Milan has therefore stopped for now, and will try again for June on their terms.
