Di Marzio: Milan midfielder Pobega one step away from complete new loan move

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan appear to have chosen the destination for young midfielder Tommaso Pobega, according to the latest from Gianluca Di Marzio.

There has been a lot of deliberation about the future of the 22-year-old after he returned from a positive spell at Spezia last season, his first proper playing time in Serie A. Reports initially suggested that Milan could cash in on him to raise pure capital gains and fund signings, then the hypothesis that he could stay became prominent, but recently the idea of a new loan has prevailed.

According to the latest from Di Marzio, Pobega is one step away from leaving Milan after undergoing almost an entire preseason under the orders of head coach Stefano Pioli. The journalist reports on his Twitter profile that Pobega is very close to joining Torino, who will acquire the Friulian-born player on loan.

Of course, this could mean that new additions – such as Yacine Adli and/or Tiemoue Bakyoko – are just around the corner.

  1. Funny how we think Bakayoko and Adli will bring more than Pobega will… they won’t, will be pretty equivalent, dumb Milan.

    1. Not sure what the logic is behind your statement. They are different types of players and in the case of Bakayako has significantly more experience. While I too like Pobega, I think you are overvaluing his ability.
