Reports: Milan reach agreement with Atletico over €40m Correa deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have closed a deal with Atletico Madrid for forward Angel Correa at €50million plus bonuses, a report claims.

We reported on Sunday that a contract offer had been made to the player, with Andre Silva set to be sold to Monaco in order to finance the move.

The deal is expected to be five-years long, while the salary set at around €3.5m-a-year – a nice pay rise from his current €2.5m plus bonuses.

In addition to Elliott, Giampaolo is also keen on bring in Correa as he sees the 24-year-old as a perfect second striker in the 4-3-1-2 system he is aiming to deploy.

All that was left was to agree a fee with Atletico and now that appears to have been done, with Gianluca Di Marzio claiming Boban is in Spain at present to conclude the deal.

It is believed that Milan and Atletico have reached an agreement on a fee of €50million plus bonuses, believed to be around €7million.

However, MilanNews.it‘s Anto Vitiello is reporting that the deal is closer to €40million.
