Di Marzio: Napoli begin negotiations over move for major €25m Milan target

Napoli are also in the race for Red Bull Salzburg midfielder and reported AC Milan target Dominik Szoboszlai, it is claimed.

The Rossoneri continue to be linked with a summer move for Szoboszlai as speculation gets more and more intense regarding the arrival of Red Bull chief Ralf Rangnick as the club’s new manager.

We reported via our correspondent Vito Angele that Rangnick has already given a clear input: Szoboszlai is a concrete objective of his and Milan have already started contacts with Red Bull Salzburg.

Calciomercato.com reported earlier on Tuesday that the player wants a move to Italy, with Milan having his approval as a potential destination. Back in April, the midfielder stated that a move to the Rossoneri would be ‘destiny’.

According to what Gianluca Di Marzio has told Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Napoli have also joined the race for Szoboszlai and have begun negotiations. He is described as a ‘strong idea’ by the journalist but not the first choice target at this point.

Our correspondent Vito Angele has answered a number of questions from fans regarding the future of Milan and the upcoming mercato.
