According to Gianluca Di Marzio this afternoon, the negotiations between AC Milan and Atalanta for Diego Laxalt are just one step away from closure, after both sides accelerated the talks in recent days.
The two clubs have already reached an agreement on the basis of a loan with an option to buy, which will become an obligation if certain conditions are met during the course of the season.
It is believed that the buy-out clause will be valued at €11m, which is what the Rossoneri need to get from the sale in order to avoid a capital loss on the player, who arrived from Genoa last summer.
All that is missing for the deal to materialize is the ”yes’ of the player himself. In the coming hours, Laxalt will sit down with his entourage to discuss Atalanta’s project, though he is expected to accept the move.
