During the program ‘Calciomercato – L’Originale’, Gianluca Di Marzio praised AC Milan’s economic strength ahead of Krzysztof Piatek’s imminent arrival.
Widespread reports have claimed that the Rossoneri have agreed a €35m deal for the Poland international, with €2-3m in potential additional bonuses.
“Piatek was waiting for the final ok for days, he is coming to Milan and tomorrow he will sign,” Di Marzio said.
“The most unusual thing is that Milan will pay all cash immediately, in a single solution. I do not remember such an important expense of an Italian club in a single solution.
“Preziosi did not want counterparts, Milan wanted the player, so we went on ‘all or nothing’ and the Rossoneri showed great economic strength in pulling out immediately €35million.
“Never seen such a thing, I repeat.”
