Di Marzio: Slovenia star with 92 goal contributions wants Milan move – talks underway

By Oliver Fisher -

It seems as though the interest between AC Milan and Josip Ilicic is very much mutual as the player would like the move, according to a report.

Di Marzio reported earlier in the week how Milan have taken a shine to Ilicic, and then added that even with the renewal of Hakan Calhanoglu, Milan are seriously interested in the playmaker.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke to Sky Italia (via MilanNews) and confirmed that Ilicic – who didn’t play for Atalanta again today – us not having a great period under Gian Piero Gasperini and the player would like to leave in order to join a big club.

Di Marzio adds that his agent is talking to Milan who want to understand the player’s exit conditions and the asking price of Atalanta, and the Slovenia international would be happy to join the Rossoneri.

The 33-year-old has 55 goals and 37 assists in 141 games for La Dea since arriving, but it seems things have gone sour in recent weeks.

  1. This guy can flat out play.May not be someone who puts in 90+ minutes week in and week out but he is a special player. His contract has to reflect that.Anyone who does not see that needs to start watching figure skating.
