CM: Diaz to face stiff competition to keep his place at Milan

Brahim Diaz is set for a fight to keep his place in the AC Milan squad after the arrival of Charles De Ketelaere and the return of Yacine Adli, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, the Spanish attacking midfielder will have to really impress Stefano Pioli if he is to keep his place behind the striker.

The team will of course be rotated a lot given the busy calendar and the way that it is affected by the 2022 Qatar World Cup. The hard truth for Diaz is that there are two more players who can play in his preferred role.

New signing De Ketelaere is versatile across the front line but Adli, who returned to the team after a loan spell at Bordeaux, will certainly want to play through the middle and he has been very impressive in pre-season.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester City has got his work cut out to stay in the team regularly.
