Tuttosport: A different plan – Milan not considering Xavi despite Spanish reports

When reports about anything Catalonia come from El Nacional, they are more than often to be believed, given the paper is one of the top news outlets in that area. So, when it was reported that Xavi was not only a target for Milan, but in advanced contact with the club, questions began to be asked.

However, Tuttosport (via Pianeta Milan) have reported that these reports are not to be believed. In fact, the Rossoneri sees the coach as ‘not feasible’, so it does not seem the former midfielder will be on the Diavolo’s touchline.

This is also partnered with news that the club want to support Paulo Fonseca further. In an ideal world, as the report suggests, the club want to defend him further and build around his ideas, strengthening the team using his ideas.

However, the Verona game will be vital to his future, with it being suggested that ideas that are ‘unthinkable’ now could be considered over the next few days should Milan drop further down the pecking order this weekend.
