Donnarumma: “Pioli has charged us up; We have worked well and we’re ready”

By Oliver Fisher -

Gianluigi Donnarumma has admitted that AC Milan are ‘ready and motivated’ ahead of Sunday night’s crucial clash against Lazio.

The Rossoneri go into the game looking to build on Thursday night’s win over SPAL at San Siro, when Suso scored the winner in the 62nd minute to give Stefano Pioli his first win as Milan boss.

Lazio arrive at San Siro having not beaten Milan on their own patch in the league since 1989, but they come into the game in good form and with the intention of reclaiming fifth spot.

Pioli has named his official starting XI for the game against the Aquile, making two changes from the team that beat SPAL.

Donnarumma spoke to Milan TV about the game, and his comments were transcribed by MilanNews.it.

“We are ready and very motivated,” the goalkeeper said.

“We won on Thursday and now we must continue in our positive streak. We have to play a great game tonight.

“The coach charged us up, we have prepared very well. We have worked well and we’re ready.”
