AC Milan have received another call from PSV Eindhoven as they try to explore the possibility of signing Charles De Ketelaere, a report claims.
De Ketelaere remains a nebulous subject this summer as he does not appear to be a big part of the plans for Stefano Pioli moving forward – especially after the change in formation to a 4-3-3 – but Milan will struggle to recoup the €35m they invested to sign him.
According to Rik Elfrink of ed.nl, PSV Eindhoven are continuing in their attempts to try and sign De Ketelaere, so say sources around the player, having made another call in the past week.
It looks like the Belgian playmaker will be loaned out and that would be the only option for PSV anyway, possibly with an option to buy included as part of the operation.
De Ketelaere is currently with the rest of the squad in the United States on the preseason tour, so a decision is likely to be made when they return.

Dry loan. Or maybe we can loan him to an Italian team. Just to get his career back on track. Then if he does well we can either keep him or sell for more than what we could get now.
If he fails at PSV he will be almost worthless though, and that is not that unlikely given his performances.
A sale would be better and safer, sometimes one has to accept a loss.
@Mailand
Absolutely that’s always the risk. And while I think he’s shown almost nothing of quality (and a few worrying personality traits like a notable lack of fight or desire) I still think a loan to Eridivisie is a good one.
Why? Because its a league of similar standard to Jupiler, at a team that needs a forward after Xavi Simons departed following a successful loan spell himself. And he’s so close to home both culturally and in location he shouldn’t have any acclimatisation issues.
Yes, we might have paid 35mn for a 10mn dud. But even though he’s been shocking with us, I honestly think there’s a good chance he’ll have a successful loan spell at PSV, giving him the game time that we wouldn’t and allowing for a future sale at break even or even profit.
Forza Milan
Keeping him or selling him at a major loss is worse than loaning him out. So no.
Would be better if he’s loaned to Italian team. Like Atalanta if they are really interested. Gasparini will get the best out of him and maybe they can strike a deal for any of their prized assets later on.
Well i was hoping he would go to premier league, and if he succeed there, premier league clubs can pay milan a decent amount of money since they tend to overpay players
They will overpaid stars from serie A not a failure one…
No loan. Sell or keep for i’d say rotation but i dont see him playing enough to cout for a rotation player. mascot maybe?
The way you talk about players is pretty pathetic.
So far he hadn’t looked any better during the US Tour. So yeah, he should definitely go to a lower-pressure league to rediscover his form. And if that doesn’t work, then unfortunately we have to cash out on him…
I’m rooting for this kid still. FORZA MILAN ⚫️🔴
Dry Loan only. Then he came come back and we can see from there, if we loan him out again, sell, or bring him back into the squad.
