MN: Elliott employee emerges as possible replacement for Milan CEO Gazidis

By Euan Burns -

An employee of former AC Milan owners Elliott Management has emerged as a possible replacement for Ivan Gazidis as the CEO of the club, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, Giorgio Furlani could be very well placed to take advantage of the fact that Gazidis will not continue in his role beyond December 5, 2022.

Gazidis has been the CEO since December 2018 but he is not going to be extending his contract and the hunt for a replacement is on.

Furlani is the senior portfolio manager for Elliott and has been a member of the Rossoneri board since 2018. That means he knows the club and the scenery already, and a large part of what the role will entail.

He is known to be a Milanista and a decision on the replacement will be made in the coming weeks by the club. More names than just Furlani are likely to become talked about.
