Emerson Royal played the full 90 minutes as Milan prevailed 3-0 against Lecce on Friday evening. After the game, the full-back spoke to the media and shared some insight into how the Rossoneri approached the game.
There have been highs and lows from Emerson Royal since joining the club this summer. Yesterday’s performance was okay at times but given that Lecce created a lot on the left flank, he just missed out on a pass in our player ratings.
In any case, he’s showing some signs of improvement and after the game, he spoke to MilanTV (via SempreMilan) about Milan’s approach and what they thought about after the win against Inter. Clinching yet another win was the key.
“Of course, the win against Inter was very important for us, and today was equally important. We didn’t stop after winning the derby, life doesn’t stop, we spoke about this and made it clear that we needed to win the game. Now we have a lot of confidence and we need to keep it going,” he stated.
Milan will be up against Bayer Leverkusen next and just like we saw against Inter in the derby, a response is needed in the Champions League as well. Of course, the Germans are the favourites so it won’t be an easy clash.
For me fofonah is the key to all Milan players since he started playing the six role Milan can play any team in the world
For me it seems like there is a big hole where fofana is playing. He wins some duels but nothing what musah couldn’t do. You can see from a mile it’s not his natural play they’re having him do
True but he is slightly improving, maybe he can morph into a good 6.
And Musah wasn’t used to win duels, he just keep the ball and dribbles until oblivion.
