Former US Men’s National Team manager Anthony Hudson is delighted to see Christian Pulisic performing so well at AC Milan.
Pulisic has once again been a leading light for Milan in what has been a difficult campaign. The American has racked up a whopping 55 goal contributions since joining, with 32 of them being goals and 23 being assists.
He has shone under Stefano Pioli, Paulo Fonseca and now Sergio Conceicao. However, his next appearance will be his 100th for the club in less than two years, raising concerns about his work load and potentially causing him to miss the Gold Cup.
Moreover, there have been reports suggesting that the former Chelsea man is holding off on signing a renewal because he wants to see the direction the club take, with regards to the director and head coach.
Zach Lowy spoke to Anthony Hudson about Pulisic for an interview with RG, and he had some interesting things to say about the former Chelsea man.
“I’m so pleased by how he’s doing, it’s so good to see, because this is a guy that loves his country. He loves playing for the States. He cares so much. He’s a really good human being, and he wants to do well,” he said.
“He’s someone that constantly wants to improve himself and his game. You can just see it in him. You can see it when he talks. You can see the passion inside him when he talks. It means so much to him.
“Since he’s gone to Milan, I think he’s been incredible. I think it’s a great move for him, but with with the States, he had a tough role, the whole Captain America thing, and coming back and having to be the main man.
“But I think he’s really he’s developing into the main man for the States, obviously. But you know, sort of that leader, but not the leader in the type of a screamer and a shout sense, more so leading by example. He’s really grinding to that.
“He’s not just a good human being, just a really a talented player. My lasting impression of Christian is just a just a good man, really good man loves the game, wants to do well, loves the States, loves his teammates. Just a good human being.”
