Express: Milan given clear path to sign right-back as Man Utd eye move for Norwich star

By Isak Möller -

In the summer transfer window, Milan decided to bring in Diogo Dalot from Man Utd on a dry loan, knowing he could play on either side of the defence. And so far, the youngster has been decent.

Given how many right-backs the Rossoneri had in the first half of the season, namely Davide Calabria, Andrea Conti and Pierre Kalulu, Dalot has mostly played on the left side. Albeit not his strongest position, he has done well.

And as a result of Conti’s departure, while Kalulu is being used more as a centre-back, the Man Utd could get more chances on the right and this will be important for his future. Milan like him, but are yet to make a decision for the summer.

According to a report from Express Sport, Man Utd could make the decision a whole lot easier for the Rossoneri as they are eyeing a move for Norwich’s Max Aarons. The latter could indeed push Dalot to move permanently.

The price tag of Dalot, per the report, is around €18m and it remains to be seen if Milan can get a discount. With the Red Devils potentially signing Aarons, perhaps they will be inclined to lower the price a bit.

  1. I wouldn’t trust a single word the Express says. They’re the most far-right-wing English paper, fanatical about Brexit and still obsessed with Lady Di. Their relationship with factual reporting is non-existent. Plus Dalot is crap.
