Fabrizio Romano confirms speculation regarding defender: “He is really close to AC Milan”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ‘very close’ to being able to announce the signing of Mohamed Simakan according to Fabrizio Romano, confirming our earlier reports.

As Pietro Balzano Prota told us earlier today, there has been an attempt to from RB Leipzig to enter the race, but there is nothing doing.

Milan have moved with greater decision, and contacts with the boy’s entourage have continued. The player’s message on his Instagram story is enigmatic, while the feelings are “positive”, and the “done deal” could come at any moment, also considering Milan’s willingness to make any new arrivals available to Pioli as soon as possible.

According to what Fabrizio Romano told his podcast Here We Go (via RouteOneFootball), Milan are closing in on the signing of Simakan.

“AC Milan are working to sign Mohamed Simakan, at the moment it’s not done, they are still negotiating, he’s the main target for Milan. He is really close to AC Milan,” he said.
