There are no advanced negotiations between AC Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu and Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Bild journalist Christian Falk told us exclusively earlier today that there is a ’90 per cent’ chance that Calhanoglu ends up at United before the start of next season, given that the player has already rejected Juventus and has been in advanced talks with the Red Devils since the summer.
Multiple sources have reported that there will be a new meeting between the player’s agent Gordon Stipic and the Milan management soon to try and reach a resolution.
However, if the player does not lower his request and therefore will not move towards some kind of compromise with the Rossoneri leadership, then it seems difficult that an agreement will be found.
Regarding the speculation that he could join United, Fabrizio Romano denied that a deal is close.
“There’s nothing advanced between Manchester United and Hakan Çalhanoğlu, because he’s still negotiating a renewal with AC Milan,” he said on his podcast, via RouteOneFootball.
