Federal Prosecutor asks for Juventus to be given 11-point deduction

It looks as though Juventus will be given an 11-point penalty for their capital gains case which has provided yet another twist in the top four race.

Juventus were given a 15-point deduction as part of the ongoing capital gains case but they had the penalty revoked last month but it was always known there would be a new trial in which the FIGC Federal Court of Appeal would determine their punishment.

According to TMW among other sources, the new request from the Federal Prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné in the context of the capital gains trial against Juventus – which is being staged today in the Federal Court of Appeal – is an 11-point penalty.

Not only that, but he has asked for an eight-month suspension to be handed down to club officials who were implicit in the case.

The verdict means that Juve would move down to 58 points, putting them six behind Milan (with a game in hand) who are now in fourth place. It adds an extra spice to Sunday night’s game in Turin too, which could become a must-win for the Bianconeri.

  1. That game would not only be must win they’d have to win by at least a margin of two goals. Otherwise they’d need Verona to snatch points against Milan.

    1. Totally agree. They will appeal and get just enough points to get back in the CL.

It’s a sign of how bad our season has been that we are even having to reply on something like this.

  2. If they appeal and granted, then that’s no punishment anymore. There should not be room to cushion the effect of their fraud. The punishment should be felt.

    1. The risk in that is Juve will ultimately feel the raff of Eufa who arent to happy with juve after super league debacle. They will then cop punishment from eufa this year and serie a next year.

  3. as long as Leao, Giroud, Krunic-Tonali, Thiaw, Theo and Maignan plays, Milan has a good chance to beat Juve. Hope no one of them get new injuries

  4. Based off of an article published this week-end in total-italianfootball, Juve could face a 12 point deduction penalty.

In parallel, and independently from what the Italian instances could decide, UEFA will likely also apply their own penalty(ies?).

As explained in this article, because of the financial fair-play rules, a penalty of only €3.5 mio was inflicted to Juve last year instead of €23 mio. This reduced penalty was conditioned upon a certain number of financial criterias Juve committed themselves to respecting.

They actually did exactly the opposite and instead of respecting their pledges … they cooked the books. It’s definitely something UEFA cannot swallow as the deal they had with Juve was based on trust and Juve f…cked them up and lied to them

  5. How it is only -11. They should be relegated. They should be degradated to Serie B. They pumped players transfer values and paid players under the desk. Those are crimes
