Zlatan Ibrahimovic is no stranger to mixed opinions. As a player, you loved him or hated him, and the same message has been true in his new role at AC Milan. However, the outlook on his work is changing.
In his playing days, Ibrahimovic was one of the best players to watch, but he was very splitting. His technicality and ego were brilliant to watch, or his ego and showboating were reasons to put you off him.
Either way, the Swede has always been a discussion point, and since the rumours of his return to Milan started, this much has remained true.
At the start of his role, Zlatan was questioned about his position, and nearly 12 months later, those questions were just as loud. Many did not know the true meaning of his role, and how much control he had of the club where he once played.
In fact, Ibra has regularly been slated by the same fanbase that once used to treat him like a God, meaning that something had to change, and as Milan News writes, this much has happened.
During January, the Rossoneri ‘changed their face’, bringing in five new players and a new head coach, something which is already having an impact on the pitch. Off the pitch, his role is also becoming slightly more defined.
The report states that six months ago, perhaps things would have been different, but in the unveiling of Joao Felix, he left the stage to the player, letting him discuss his own thoughts, rather than adding too much info (and perhaps expectation) himself.
Then, with the matter of the officiating, Zlatan offered his own thoughts, but in a professional manner, the way that a RedBird and Milan employee should – assertively and respectfully.
We still need to see more of ‘this Zlatan’, but right now, he is moulding himself into the figure that the Diavolo have needed.
Clown ,worst mistake we ever made
go back to work, your customer is waiting for his food.
TBH I wouldn’t touch the food this fake bb was serving.
We don’t know Ibra’s role so I don’t understand the credit or blame being focused on him alone. Ibra joking about it didn’t help but my frustration is with the owners and management team as a whole. The manner of Maldini’s dismissal was disgraceful, not only for a legendary player but for a director that helped bring Milan back into the spotlight. This was followed by two haphazard transfer markets, 200 million spent and two seasons of not being competitive in the league. The way they sacked Fonseca was also unprofessional.
Time will tell how things turn out but Conceicao seems to be a capable coach with a clear plan we had a more targeted transfer campaign this time out; positive signs for the future
He is great. Stop complaining about everything.
Forza Milan and Forza Ibra ❤🖤
Ibra’s done a good job. Only mistake was letting Paoli go. But his selections this year has more than made up for it. I’m looking forward to end of year.
Mr Ibrahimovic not so much of a problem. Redbird, are a problem.
So far assuming Ibra is operating in a role similar to Maldini’s, I’d rate them the same. It’s early in Ibra’s managerial role though so labeling him a success or failure would be premature. Personally I love Ibra, the man has demonstrated a true love for the club as a player and executive. He played as much a role in the last scudetto as Maldini so credit is due as much as criticism
After 2 games he’s suddenly an amazing director????? LOLOLO
Last I checked we are 20 Points off first. Scudetto over and we are lucky to make top 4.
He also said in summer we were a complete team after the signings of Morata Emerson Fofana and Pav. He sold Kalulu Adli Maldini and CDK – who are all shining. Went on vacation last 2 weeks of summer transfer window and missed many games and practices.
So forgive me if I am a bit skeptical after 2 games in January that he has now turned things around. LONG way to go until we come to that conclusion. I’m glad he seems to be taking the role more seriously (he is getting paid after all) but way to early to say he was the right choice just yet – be honest
A win against almighty Empoli is in line with the ambitions of this club. Thanks to the « Redbird employee » and Jorge Mendes. Now crossing fingers to finish 4th in Serie A. Best management in the world.
ibra will take this club to victory/
I don’t believe temporary job until I see some permanent fixes.
January is temporary fix except gimenez and we have to see him atleast season.
Cdm is still a problem, backup is still a problem, what we fixed temporary is amf with joao Felix.
6m for 6months of Felix and I’m not sure they will pay atleast 7m for Mike/Theo.
Lol…he is the reason Futuro are screwed. Sacks Abate because Zlatan Jr isn’t good enough to start in the Primavera. Once upon a time if that happened, it just made a player more determined…these days the player has a sook and the coach gets the sack.
Comparing him to Maldini is a straight insult to our captain. Maldini would never leave our young players to face the wrath of the fans alone while he sneeks in through the back door. Maldini would never dare to use “his tone” to try and force players out of the club.
That alone speaks volumes of Ibra’s true nature and character. Nothing but a spineless coward.
Too early to say he is the right man..isn’t it? But it is still proven he is not the right man now…at least!
