Florenzi claims he is ‘super ready’ for first start of the season: “We have to give our all”

By Oliver Fisher -

Alessandro Florenzi is getting ready for his first start of the season, and insisted that returning to Sassuolo is a reminder that AC Milan are the champions.

Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has made five changes to the starting line-up that will face Sassuolo compared to the team that beat Bologna on Saturday night, and Florenzi is one of them as he has come in for Davide Calabria.

The Rossoneri will face off against the Neroverdi as the current Scudetto holders, and they achieved that status on the same pitch in the last game of last season, winning 3-0 to become the champions of Italy for a 19th time.

Florenzi spoke to Milan TV before the game and spoke about how he is feeling ahead of a return to the field from minute one, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“The team is doing well. This stadium reminds us that we are Italian Champions, but today we have to prove it once again. We have to give our all for the three points,” he said.

How are you?
“I feel great, ready to help the team. I’m super ready.”

What type of game are you expecting?
“All matches have their pitfalls. We must try to impose our game, without giving them the opportunity to make them play with their possession of the ball because they are very good.”
