AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has made five changes to the starting line-up that will face Sassuolo compared to the team that beat Bologna on Saturday night.
Mike Maignan will start in goal while Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez remain as part of the back four, but Alessandro Florenzi and Simon Kjaer have come in for Davide Calabria and Pierre Kalulu respectively.
Tommaso Pobega and Ismael Bennacer form the double pivot with Sandro Tonali rested. Alexis Saelemaekers has been given the nod over Junior Messias on the right flank, with Rafael Leao on the opposite wing.
Charles De Ketelaere is back to starting on the bench as Brahim Diaz returns from minute one, and Olivier Giroud will be asked to work overtime with Divock Origi and Ante Rebic both out.

If there’s Brahim then it would be better to use Rebic but I guess he is still injured.

Looks like we another striker… I would’ve crazily got cutrone back. Wouldve been a cheap deal and rejuvenate his career again. Hasnt done well since he left milan. I rated him before we sold him to wolves.I really hope we don’t get ronaldo. He kills clubs. What happened to columbo… Lazetic really needs to be on the bench if hes fit. Give him 30 minutes to give giroud a rest. We miss so many chances with a simple tap to giroud or anyone in that position. They dont have to be amazing… I would like to see saelemakers up front for a game… Hes a menace at closing down players. Works hard. Not everyones favourite but we’re clutching at straws at the moment.

the second half pierre kalulu had to play because the right sector was filled with slow players and the opposing team took advantage of this.

Looking at the free agents in the striker positions. Theres lots of options. We dont need anyone great. Just someone who can tap them in. So many simple passes taps we miss to get giroud or anyone in that position to score. Andy caroll is available haha or Douglas costa, berinho.. . Lots of target men available for free by the looks of it…
