On the occasion of World Children’s Day, Fondazione Milan presented their Annual Report for the 2023-24 season.
As a press release from the club revealed, the 2023-24 campaoign saw Fondazione Milan implement various sports initiatives, reaffirming its commitment to promoting the values of sports in challenging environments.
Through programs such as Sport for All, Sport for Change, and Assist, the foundation provided essential opportunities for growth and inclusion to vulnerable youth. The contribution of AC Milan’s partners was instrumental to the success of these activities, creating a tangible impact both in Italy and abroad.
Among the key supporters, PUMA supplied kits and sports equipment for project beneficiaries, while Off-White launched a special t-shirt, “I SUPPORT SPORT FOR CHANGE,” dedicating part of the proceeds to benefit 1,300 girls involved in Fondazione Milan’s project in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Sport for Change program was particularly successful, reaching 3,149 young people through new projects launched in Pakistan, Syria, Brazil, and Italy, as well as ongoing initiatives in eight other locations, including Salvador de Bahia, New York, Kerala, Kampala, and Nairobi, alongside several Italian regions.
For example, the Play for the Future project, in collaboration with Fondazione Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, offered new prospects to youth in challenging contexts.
In Italy, Fondazione Milan stood out with its Sport for All program, which promoted the inclusion of 795 children and youth with disabilities.
In Reggio Emilia, the All-Inclusive Sport project facilitated the integration of young people into local sports clubs, while in Milan, in collaboration with PlayMore!, sports scholarships were awarded for activities such as football and beach volleyball.
In Messina, in collaboration with Fondazione Èbbene, the Comunità Rigenerate initiative was launched, offering sports activities and a support hub for disabled youth and the local community.
Through the Assist program, several initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for 1,360 young people were carried out, including a summer camp for children affected by the Romagna floods and the restoration of sports fields damaged by the same disaster.
This initiative was promoted alongside AC Monza, using funds raised during the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy. Furthermore, in March 2024, a sports facility in Milan dedicated to Davide Astori was inaugurated. This space will host activities for over 1,000 young people.
For the second consecutive year, Fondazione Milan’s logo gained significant visibility, appearing on the back of the men’s First Team jerseys during UEFA competitions.
Additionally, the San Siro stadium hosted three key events: during Milan-Fiorentina, the “Together for Davide” fundraiser supported the redevelopment of the sports facility dedicated to Davide Astori.
At Milan-Monza, the Foundation was the Match Charity Partner, showcasing its initiatives and welcoming beneficiary groups; and during Milan-Genoa, the 5×1000 campaign “Your Own Path” was launched.
Finally, thanks to the 6,206 preferences received for the 5×1000 in 2022, the Foundation raised €223,436 in 2023 to continue promoting sports and inclusion projects in Italy and abroad.
