GdS: Fonseca in search of dressing room leaders – Juventus defender gets approval

AC Milan and Juventus will soon face each other in the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia in a few days, and the directors could discuss an exchange deal.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juve sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has identified David Hancko as Danilo’s heir, a left-footed defender who can play both as a full-back and as a centre-back. A sale is needed first, and it could involve another incoming operation.

Fikayo Tomori’s name has re-emerged at the top of Juventus’ list of preferences because of a lack of playing time, a situation very similar to that of Danilo who has a contract expiring on June 30 and does not seem to be in Thiago Motta’s plans.

The negotiation for Tomori has nothing to do with the one that took place last summer for Pierre Kalulu. Milan are open to the sale of the former Chelsea player but has no intention of giving any discounts, so €25m will be needed.

A paid loan with an obligation to buy is possible, and Motta has given his approval because the player would be immediately usable within his plans, without any need to spend a period of adaptation in Italian football.

The Tomori deal would be financed in the first phase by the sale of Arthur (the most likely destination is Real Betis) and the increasingly likely sale of Danilo, who is an idea for Napoli but also the Rossoneri too.

Paulo Fonseca who is looking for leaders within the dressing room and he likes Danilo. The Tomori deal would give Juve a first key reinforcement for the January market, while Milan could add some experience to their back line.

  1. Why do we sit here and feed Juve everything they want, only sell to Newcastle or another team that isn’t our direct rival (any other team in Italy) sell Tomori for 20-30m and buy dean Huijsen for 15-25m. He plays like someone with 10 years of experience while only being 19 and he’s huge at 6 foot 4 and forget about that fraud cristhian masquera just because cristhian is young don’t mean he’s good

  2. What a stupid and nonsensical article!!!!!! If tomori wants to leave coz he is not playing since milan’s centre backs are now gabbia and thiaw, how the hell can danilo add experience to milan’s backline if he too, presumably, will not be playing? On the other hand if danilo will be playing, why not keep tomori?
The writer of this article is as daft and stupid as moncada, ibra, furlani and fonseca rolled in one.

  3. There was maldini as a non-playing dressing room leader but he was kicked out and apparently the arrogant ibra tries to do the same job … with the great success that we all know about!!!!

  4. Lol might as well sign kjaer back, he’s still free last time I checked.
Danilo is always injured and has a somewhat high salary for a 33 yo injured dude. 5.1M gross.
