CorSport: Milan open to selling Kessie in January as contract impasse continues

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have opened up to the idea of selling Franck Kessie in the January window in order to try raise some money from his departure, a report claims.

Kessie’s future is the subject of a lot of speculation currently as his deal expires at the end of the season and there is nothing to suggest that a renewal is imminent nor that positive talks are being held which are edging towards an agreement, which means Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are having to be proactive in finding his replacement, just as they were with Gianluigi Donnarumma’s exit by signing Mike Maignan.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), much of Milan’s transfer market moves are linked to Kessie. The Ivorian seems intent on not renewing his contract with the club which expires in June: as the Roman daily reports, if important offers arrive already during the winter transfer market, Milan would consider them to avoid losing him to zero.
