AC Milan have not completely given up on the idea of signing Serge Aurier from Spurs, according to a report.
Doubts over Andrea Conti’s future at the club – with Werder Bremen and Parma apparently interested – has seen Milan linked with a move for Aurier in recent weeks.
The 26-year-old has struggled to assert himself in Mauricio Pochettino’s main XI since joining from PSG, and as such it has been suggested that he would be open to a fresh opportunity elsewhere.
An update on Tuesday suggested that the Rossoneri are in fact not interested in signing the Ivory Coast international as Conti is set to stay, but reports from France on Wednesday suggest otherwise.
According to Le10Sport (via MilanNews.it), Aurier is still ready to leave Spurs as it seems he is not the man Pochettino wants to step up and fill the void left by Kieran Trippier’s exit.
Milan are interested in the idea of signing him as a back-up to Davide Calabria, the report adds, but before getting serious Conti would have to leave.
