From France: PSG to rival Man Utd in race for €38m Milan man if striker leaves for Chelsea

By Oliver Fisher -

Paris Saint-Germain could make an offer for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek if they have to replace Edinson Cavani, a report claims.

The Athletic claimed earlier in the week that Piatek is attracting interest from a number of clubs in England, including the likes of United, Spurs, Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham United.

Their report added Milan are demanding €38m, and that Tottenham have seen a swap deal offer rejected for the striker involving defender Juan Foyth and midfielder Victor Wanyama.

More reports of interest from Manchester United arrived earlier on Wednesday from La Repubblica, however it appears as though they now face competition to land the Pole.

According to Paris United, Ligue 1 giants PSG could make a move for Piatek in the remaining nine days of the window if it looks like Cavani will leave.

L’Equipe (via MilanNews.it) recently claimed that PSG are beginning to seek out potential replacements for Cavani, who is most likely to join Chelsea or Atletico Madrid this month.
