Bundesliga side Schalke 04 are interested in a move for AC Milan striker Andre Silva, according to reports from Germany.
Silva’s long-term future appears to lie away from Milan with rumours continuing to swirl regarding possible destinations for the Portugal international.
Reports from Calciomercato.com on Sunday claimed that his agent Jorge Mendes is under pressure to find his client a new club before the window shuts on September 2.
Tuesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – reported that negotiations were continuing with Sporting CP over a deal.
However, with a race against against time before the end of the mercato, it was claimed by the paper that an agreement is not close.
A twist has arrived from Germany though, as BILD state that Schalke have joined the running to sign the former Porto man.
The newspaper states that they could make an offer of a season-long loan worth €5million, but that Silva would rather move to LaLiga.
