Gallery: ‘Milan like champions’, ‘Rebic show’ – Today’s front pages of Italian papers

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan played their first game of the season last night and they came away with all three points, beating Udinese 4-2. There are some things to work on, but otherwise it was a positive display from the champions.

Not many have Milan as their bet to win Serie A this season, which is understandable, but the Rossoneri don’t care about that. Bar the two sloppy goals that they conceded, it looked like they more or less picked up from last season.

Of course, with a few changes as Ante Rebic was on fire last night. Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote the following on the front page: “Here they are again. Pioli dominates, Inzaghi wins in the 95th minute. Milan like a champion: Four goals against Udinese, Rebic brace, super Diaz and CDK conquers San Siro.”

Corriere Dello Sport also focused on the positives: “Milan are stronger [than Inter]. Rebic overwhelms Udinese, show at San Siro.” Tuttosport had a slightly different angle: “Milan okay, fury from Udinese [over penalty]. The Rossoneri were strong in attack, distracted in defence.”
