The Europa League draw for the Round of 16 was held last night and it was confirmed that AC Milan will face the Czech side Slavia Praha. Considering that the latter and Bayer Leverkusen remained, the Rossoneri certainly got lucky.
When it was time for AC Milan to get their opponent, only two seeded teams remained: Bayer Leverkusen and Slavia Praha. It got a bit nervous for a moment there, but the Rossoneri were thankfully drawn against Slavia Praha instead of the German side.
The Europa League draw was naturally a key subject in today’s Gazzetta dello Sport, with all of the Italian teams hoping to lift the trophy. For Stefano Pioli, it is most likely the last opportunity to win one with the Rossoneri.
