Gallery: ‘Shock for Milan’, ‘Allegri presses alarm button’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

AC Milan suffered a huge defeat on Saturday evening, conceding three against Udinese in front of their home crowd, and the papers had a field day this morning.

It was a game that Massimiliano Allegri’s men needed to win, given the defeat to Napoli earlier in the week, but instead they got the exact opposite outcome. Now, the Champions League race is well and truly at risk as Juventus managed to beat Atalanta too.

Just three points separate the two sides while Como, currently in fifth with a game in hand, are five points behind. Allegri raised concern in his post-match interview and rightfully so, because we could be looking at an epic collapse in this season finale.

  1. realistically still in a good spot. if giminez was fit this was probably a win. bringing fulkrug killed the game

    1. Milan was already down 2-0 when Fulkrug was brought on, but yeah his introduction killed the game. Lets blame the subs

    2. Wow you have a lot of faith in Gimenez…he was absolutely terrible in the first 7-8 games that he started, scored zero goals and missed tons of easy chances. and was rightfully dropped. then he got injured. I wish I had your optimism; I didn’t see anything that makes me feel confident that he can kickstart the attack.
