Galliani recalls birth of Fondazione Milan and jokes he ‘can’t wear an Inter shirt’ – video

Last night AC Milan hosted a night to mark the 20th anniversary of the charity Fondazione Milan, with one of the founders Adriano Galliani also present.

Galliani was present on the red carpet for the event having just seen his Monza side face off against a lot of the same players last weekend, and he was asked a few questions by reporters with his words relayed by MilanNews.

How was the Milan Foundation born?

“On the occasion of an anniversary of the purchase of Milan. It was born on February 20 because it was the anniversary of Silvio Berlusconi’s purchase of Milan. I’m sorry that Leonardo isn’t here, I was president of the Milan Foundation for many years, but the soul is absolutely Leo who I praised today because he is in the mountains and shouldn’t have been missing here… I remember all the initiatives of our period and then Fondazione Milan has continued along this path and it’s very nice.”

Did you manage to stay still on Saturday?

“Yes yes, absolutely. I can’t erase 31 years of life. In fact, the other night at the ‘United for Ukraine’ dinner they wanted to give me a Lautaro shirt but I can’t wear an Inter shirt (laughs).”

Napoli are strong and aggressive and they continue to compared them with the Milan of Sacchi, Capello and Ancelotti. What do you say? “I’m not saying anything (laughs).”
