Former AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani hopes that current owners Elliott Management can help restore the club to an elite level.
Galliani served at Milan for over 30 years from 1986 to 2017, working with then owner Silvio Berlusconi.
He oversaw the most successful period in the club’s history as the Rossoneri won five European Cups and eight Serie A titles among other achievements.
Galliani is hoping that the good times come back for Milan, who have been out of the Champions League since 2013-14.
“I believe it is correct that we should not judge the performance of a company after it has been sold,” he told il Corriere della Sera.
“I wish with everything the heart of this ownership is to bring Milan back to the Champions League, since last year they missed the goal by just one point.”
