AC Milan manager Rino Gattuso spoke to the media ahead of the ICC tournament in USA, where he refused to rule out a move for his captain Leonardo Bonucci.
Bonucci has been heavily linked with a return to Juventus since yesterday, and Gattuso made it clear that the defender could indeed leave Milan this summer.
“I want to see the Bonucci I’ve seen in the last 12 days: a professional Bonucci, the first one to get the group going. A true captain of the team.
“Then again, it will be up to Leo and Milan to decide, but I hope that he can stay here. I think that when a player expresses a wish, the coach has to do everything to convince him to stay. If the player has expressed a desire in a clear way, it is necessary to understand, sit down and deal with the matter correctly.”
