Gattuso: “We lost our soul after the derby, my future…”

By Isak Möller -

Gennaro Gattuso spoke to Sky Italia, following AC Milan’s 3-2 win over SPAL, which wasn’t enough to guarantee Champions League qualification.

“Now let’s talk about the right and wrong things done, for my future, there will be time. We must evaluate what we have done. We must congratulate this group.

“There is regret for the points lost after the derby. We lost our soul in the derby. This is a strong group that certainly needs to be improved but the team is young and has ample room for improvement.

“I owe so much to Milan. They made me a man, made me raise important trophies. I gave something to Milan but Milan gave me a thousand times more. I’ve lived ten months that were not easy, I knew what I was going through.

“We have been outside the Champions League for many years, too many words come from this aspect. I don’t have the feeling that it was my last match with Milan,” he concluded.

  1. Milan lost their vision in last few years. They spent their money for nothing, from management till players. £200 mio for europa League is a joke and can’t event compete with Atalanta.

  2. Calhanoglu played awfull this year and last year aswell, the last match was his best of the season ! He lost the ball constantly this year by either missed passes or bad controls. Bertolacci (MIA) montolivo (MIA) Mauri (MIA) strinnic (MIA) Caldara (MIA) laxalt (MIA). Six players earning a good wage and havent played for shit this year. Why not replace them with young promising players which don’t earn as much but can grow ?? Then we got borini as our main winger, I mean he works hard, but he has no were near the level of player needed for milan !!
