It was announced earlier in the week that CEO Ivan Gazidis will be leaving the club when his contract expires in December of this year.
Gazidis joined the club in 2018 having been at Arsenal before, with Elliott Management managing to convince him to try a new challenge in a new league, and the Rossoneri’s journey since that point has been a virtually constant upward trajectory culminating in last season’s Scudetto win and a huge improvement in the accounts.
According to a report from Sky (via MilanNews), Gazidis was at Milanello before the training session this morning in the presence of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, and he gave an emotional speech to the squad and the coaching staff.
That is because Sunday will be his last appearance at a game as the club’s Chief Executive Officer, given that he will leave his role before the season resumes after the break for the World Cup in Qatar.
Thanks for all your hard work, Gazidis, at the end of the day, I believe all your work was done for Milan. Good job.
Good luck in your next part of career.
Good luck to u Gazidis. Wish u all the best❤️🖤
