Amidst the news that AC Milan are set to get new owners in the coming weeks, there has been a lot of doubt about CEO Ivan Gazidis and his position at the club.
According to this morning’s edition of La Repubblica (via MilanNews), directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are practically certain to stay under the probable new ownership of Investcorp, but the future of Gazidis remains uncertain.
His current contract with the Rossoneri will expire at the end of November and the South African executive will remain in his position at least until that date, but beyond that things are not clear yet.
It is possible that the Bahrain-based fund want to continue with Gazidis who has helped lead a financial resurgence in his time at Milan so far, but equally they might want to put someone in such an important position that they already know and trust given their many existing successful business interests.
