GdS: AC Milan willing to let Piatek leave only on loan – the reason

By Isak Möller -

Kris Piatek’s future at AC Milan is yet to be written. After a poor start to the season, scoring just four goals in 17 games, the Polish international has been linked with a January move.

The Rossoneri have certainly struggled this season, above all in attack, which prompted the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, the latter’s arrival also means that Piatek will get less playing time, which could harm his progress.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), the striker could end up on the market. As for as Milan are concerned, he isn’t unsellable, although they would only be willing to let him leave on loan.

The Rossoneri will hardly recover the €35m spent last January, per the report, and they don’t want to make a capital loss on the player. Therefore, a loan is the most likely hypothesis, although it will be tough to find him a club (already said no to Genoa).
