GdS: Bennacer, Hernandez and Kessie could all be dropped vs. Genoa

By Oliver Fisher -

Lucas Biglia is set to start against Genoa, while Ricardo Rodriguez and Fabio Borini could also come into the fold, a report claims.

Head coach Marco Giampaolo is under intense pressure, with a dramatic improvement required following Milan’s worst start to a Serie A season in over 80 years.

There have been suggestions that the game against Genoa represents a must-win for the former Sampdoria boss, such is the scrutiny he is under.

Sky Italia – as cited by Calciomercato.com – reported earlier on Thursday that Giampaolo is ready to freshen things up – with Samu Castillejo, Rodriguez, Biglia and Borini all in with a chance of starting.

Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it) have offered their take on Milan’s likely XI, confirming that Rodriguez and Borini could start in place of Theo Hernandez and Franck Kessie respectively.

In addition, Giampaolo is expected to ‘rely on the experience’ of Biglia, suggesting that Bennacer will be dropped after giving away two penalties in the defeat to Fiorentina.
