AC Milan’s pursuit of Juventus defender Merih Demiral has suffered a major blow causing them to shift targets, a report claims.
We recently revealed in an exclusive from Vito Angele that the Rossoneri are in the market for a new centre-back following the achilles tendon injury sustained by Leo Duarte, with Demiral being the primary target.
Wednesday morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – confirms that the Turkey international is indeed the primary target for the Milan leadership.
However, at present he is currently deemed unsellable by the Bianconeri leadership, and Milan have as a result been forced to shift their attention to Jean-Clair Todibo of Barcelona.
Demiral has also been linked with a move to Manchester United along with Spurs and Arsenal, while the same paper also suggested that Premier League high-flyers Leicester City are readying a bid of €30m to tempt Juve into selling.
