According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Caldara is closing on his league debut with AC Milan.
Having joined the Rossoneri from Juventus this summer, Mattia Caldara was expected to take a spot in the eleven, alongside Alessio Romagnoli. However, manager Gennaro Gattuso has opted for Mateo Musacchio, who is more used to playing in a four-man defence.

As reported by Gazzetta, though, Caldara is closing in on making his debut with Milan. In fact, he is included in Italy’s squad for the games against Poland and Portugal in the Nations League. This will be a good opportunity for him to perfect his qualities in a 4-3-3, most likely also next to Romagnoli.
