Hakan Calhanoglu has a huge offer on the table from Qatar which has tempted him to try an experience in a new continent, a report claims.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Al-Duhail – the former team of Mario Mandzukic – have put on the table a contract offer worth €32m to Calhanoglu and his agent, spread between a three-year contract of €8m net per year and a bonus of €8m at the time of signing. In short, a monstrous proposal for a player who has not yet made a decision on his future.
No comments have filtered from Calhanoglu’s entourage as the attacking midfielder is focused on Sunday’s match which could – in one sense or another – guide his choice. What is certain is that Milan will not raise their offer of €4m net per year. This is the club’s policy regarding salary ceiling on the renewal front, except for special cases such as Ibrahimovic and Donnarumma.
Milan are already moving in search of a possible replacement and the first choice target remains Rodrigo De Paul, an extremely strong playmaker that Udinese values no less than €40m.
