AC Milan are moving concretely to try and sign Rodrigo De Paul as Hakan Calhanoglu’s replacement, according to a report.
According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Calhanoglu continues to ask for €6m net per season to renew his contract but the Rossoneri management are not willing to go above €4m, therefore a €2m gap is present that shows no signs of being bridged.
Calhanoglu has no shortage of admirers as he has an offer from Qatar and Juventus are still keen. Milan has already have his replacement in their sights in Rodrigo De Paul, for whom Udinese’s initial request is about €40m. The Argentine has long been admired by the Rossoneri and is the favoured profile.
Atletico Madrid are also keen but they have had a first offer rejected, while Milan are hoping the asking price will come down or they will open to the inclusion of a counterpart that would lower the cash sum needed.
