GdS: Cardinale to make final decision on Milan’s new stadium by April

By Isak Möller -

Gerry Cardinale is tired of the recent delays of the city council, with regard to AC Milan’s new stadium, and he will make a final decision by April. That could result in a move from the San Siro area.

Milan and Inter have been working for several years on their stadium project and after the public debate, which went in their favour, there has since been a stalemate. As such, Milan are now ready to take their project elsewhere.

As per Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Sesto San Giovanni remains the most likely option but there are also a few other areas on the list. Cardinale is an expert in building stadiums and will make his final decisions by April.

The new stadium is essential to increase revenue and building their own stadium in Sesto, without Inter, would allow them to capitalise on several revenue stream solutions. The mayor of Sesto has made it clear that they are more than welcome and no issues should arrive on that front.
