GdS: Castillejo destined to leave Milan and return to Spain this summer

By Isak Möller -

Samu Castillejo is one of the players that will leave Milan this summer, or at least so it seems. Three years after joining the Rossoneri, the winger could return to Spain and start a new chapter in his career.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, the Rossoneri want to sell Castillejo this summer. The winger made 28 league appearances this past season and bagged just one goal, as well as one assist.

Therefore, it’s not exactly a surprise that Milan want to monetise Castillejo’s departure while they still can. Per the newspaper, the former Villarreal man has offers from Spain and this seems like the most likely destination for him.

Milan won’t get loads of money from the sale, but it will certainly be an amount that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara can do some good with on the market. It remains to be seen when concrete negotiations will start, though.
