L’Equipe: PSG could send Donnarumma out on loan first season – the situation

By Isak Möller -

Paris Saint-Germain are just one step away from closing the signing of Gigio Donnarumma. The latter decided not to renew his contract with Milan and will thus leave the club on a free transfer.

According to the latest reports from the reliable L’Equipe (via GuillaumeMP), Donnarumma is expected to have his medical for the French side after the game between Italy and Switzerland. He will earn €8m per year (€10m gross) for his new side.

However, as Keylor Navas is the first-choice goalkeeper at PSG, Donnarumma could be loaned out to another club for the first season. Roma have previously expressed their interest but the No.99 doesn’t want to join them.

It’s worth noting that Milan offered the goalkeeper €7m plus €1m in bonuses per year, which isn’t far away from PSG’s offer. Either way, Donnarumma decided to move on and the saga has come to an end.

  1. At the beginning he is not serious keeper unpatriotic player he does not suppose to be in ac Milan useless

  2. How about that.. the most expensive keeper and he will be loaned out… In milan he was a king.. now he will suffer.. that happens when you believe to much in money

  3. There are some issues to this.

    1. Which big club will abondon their goalkeeper and rent/ take on loan Donnaruma for 1 year?

    2. Which clubs pays the £8Million wages for the period Donnaruma is on loan? No serious club will pay that to rent a goalkeeper for 1 year.

    3. What happens if Navas keeps his form and No 1 shirt for 3 more years?

    4. For Donnaruma and his Agent to accept virtually the same offer with Milan’s offer shows that they negotiated from a disadvantage position.

    5. In view of 4 above, given that PSG signing is a face saving move for the Agent and player, then PSG will not agree to pay the hefty commission the Agent was seeking which led to this mess for the player.

    6. When relocation cost and other distance associated cost from Italy will proves that the Rossoneri offer is actually the best deal for Donnaruma.

Bottom line is Donnaruma have lost sporting and Economic advantage position for his stupidity and Agent’s greed.

    Forza Milan

Can’t wait to see Hakan out of Milan. He is very ordinary player too.

  4. It is very disappointing to see one of the highest potential goalkeepers in the world leaving. It is every player’s right to go where the highest money is. They have one career, and we only get one chance as we all march through time. In saying that, Raiola seems to have completed messed up their future. If Gigio wants success, look where Milan are going! The grand plan is unfolding, and they’ve left half-way through, to an uncertain and disadvantageous position. Slightly more money, but at what personal cost to their career? I hope the things we don’t know, answer these issues. Gigio is amazing! Maybe one day he will be back to finish his career off, as the official Best Goalkeeper that has ever played this game!

  5. From king to eating crums from table. His sad experience from making the move at the tender age of 22 is what he will blame himself for. Perfect example hazard to Madrid to win champions League. Dembele to Barca to win champions League boom. Life doesn’t guarantee anything. Sterling left Liverpool to man city. Liverpool has won champions League and premier League but sterling is still chasing this. Abate all this those players brought in good money from their respective club before they left. But one small boy loves money so much that he left one club that finish 2nd in serieA to another that finish 2nd in a lower league than seriaA for the same amount he was offered. Real irony. I will like to follow his growth onward. One thing he should know that the mistake we forgive him as Milan fan he won’t have that pleasure in Paris. Since PSG fans know he is not loyal and he doesn’t have respect for club and fans he won’t be speared. I wish him good fortune I wish his dream move brings him what he has been searching for. I wonder why a player will run down his contract at seven times continental champion and world champion and sign for a club that recently went on relegation. Wow. Because of money. Players want to play in Milan with less money why homegrown player will leave that same club with the same contract he was offered. I see him lose his shirt as Italy No1 to meret or any other goalie
